"Today, the City of Miami officially lifted its nightly curfew and shelter-in-place orders, which were implemented in late March to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in Miami. Effective immediately, the nightly 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. curfew is no longer in effect. Likewise, the general shelter-in-place order has ended.
Although the shelter-in-place order has been lifted, residents with preexisting medical conditions that increase their risk of contracting COVID-19 should continue to shelter in place if possible and limit exposure to persons outside of their household. As local businesses and public facilities begin to reopen, all City of Miami residents are required to continue wearing facial coverings and practice social distancing. This includes in public spaces such as retail stores, offices, salons/barbershops and parks.
